Experienced craftsman Antonio Femenia Tur runs “Restauracion de Sillas” from his traditional workshop in Pedreguer, Alicante.

Antonio is an expert in the art of rush chair weaving. He repairs and restores both antique and contemporary rush furniture.   
All work is carried out by hand.

Antonio learned his craft many years ago from his father, a skilled rush upholsterer who painstakingly passed on the experience of a lifetime to his son, as his father had done for him. 

Hundreds of items pass through this busy workshop.

Antonio works with, antique dealers and interior designers. But many clients come to him directly. They quickly realise that each much-loved item will be treated with great respect and given a new lease of life.

It is important that the seat frame is sound before the chair is re-rushed and Antonio can arrange for minor repairs to be done before chair is re-seated.
